Our Matcha Superior has a more smooth and mellow taste than most Matcha teas you will find on the market, and it is also much less bitter. It is perfect for those new to the art of Matcha drinking or those who drink it quite often and prefer a high quality Matcha that is not too expensive. It is especially suited for making matcha latte with milk, whether it be coconut or almond or just plain milk!

Matcha Superior is among the highest quality Matcha produced in the Uji, Kyoto region of Japan, and from the Shincha harvest (the first tea of the year). Carefully grown in the shade for 20 to 30 days before harvest by the way of “Tana”, which requires skilful technique and great care. Much higher quality than most Matchas on the market used for latte. Often produced with 2nd and even 3rd grade matcha powder, our matcha comes from the 1st harvest and only from our Japanese tea farm in Kyoto, Japan. Nothing added.

The dried leaves are ground with a traditional stone mortar and pestle, called a Hikiusu, providing a rich, vivid green powder.
